I admit that I haven't done much about these...
For two reasons...
1.) I'm waiting to see the new material editor, which should be better/easier... ;)
2.) Time... Boy... I sure could use much more time... :D

But looking forward to next beta-release... ;)

Guess it's time to bring this back on track again... ;)
We all hope that next release will become available by mid December, and I suggest that we also make this new material library available just before X-mas... :D

So please let me know how you're doing with these... ;)

Cheers

hey fred,

i have to b honest i havnt had much time to do much on an of these recently. i have managed to prepare each of the libraries for the wood floors i think (i will have to check though) and i think i just need to do the preview scenes for each of the floors.

With regards to the Lis materials i havnt been able to do much with these, the maps are so large they are killing my pc, and are freezing kt up for me. Tomasz did mention earlier that he would be prepared to help out with these oes though but dont know if that still stands though.

Kind regards
Kind regards

Hi Chris,

Here is a link to m original post regarding the Lis maps, http://www.kerkythea.net/phpBB2/viewtop ... hlight=lis

would be very helpful if you could lend a hand, but are ou not already busy with your 'side project' and the new plugins. But if you think you can spare the time that would be great.

Kind regards

oh man, now I feel bad. ;) I think I can squeeze something in. :) So all the Lis textures still need to be done? I'll start with the floors if so. Is there a particular preview scene that should be used for the preview renders, or just flat? What's a good ior for wood floor?

Is it worth considering cutting the image sizes in half? They may just be too big for alot of people.

The material scene we use is http://www.kerkythea.net/joomla/index.p ... down&id=40

Halfing the materials i think will be, i have already tried doing this with a few and they seem to be fine.

Ok, sounds good. Regarding the wood floors, does anyone object to applying it the floor of the scene? It seems to me it would be a better representation. If not, that's fine with me, just a thought. Maybe it's not a big deal...the previews are only like 64x64 images anyway right? You can only cram in so much detail. :)

i think its over to patrick on this one chris its his baby really. but personally i would just apply it to the k-ball i think it may 'crowd' the scene a little.

cheers

Sounds good. And now that I've actually tried it, it does look just fine. :)
