The interview of the week/month

Post by giannis »

just to give it a go and make the site richer & more interesting.

we have to have some interviews! :)
interviews in the Q/A fashion with 2-3 pics of the interviewed himself
and perhaps 1-2 representative renders (if any).

and i propose to start with Tomasz!

Tomasz what do you think?

Tomasz, it will...
I suggest that you - already now - prepare for a Tomasz Fan Club... ;)
Make sure you you get a Manager who will take care of "Tomasz merchandise"
like caps and t-shirt with your photo and a text like "We LOVE ToMasz"...

Speaking of merchandise - why don't we make a KT shop, with caps, t-shirts, sports-bags, mugs etc with the KT logo..??
I would be happy to invest and initiate this!! :D

I like both of the ideas (interviews, KT shop). Would love to have a t-shirt with kt's logo, one black, one white.... oh yes and a thong for my wife, loooooooool

about the interview, it would be cool to design a questionnaire and use the same interview on each candidate. Similar to blenderartists's community journal "meet the blenderhead" section:

i hope others won't mind (their turn will come!).
i believe that Tomasz can show a work ranging from architecture
to coding the exporter or making renders like "dice".

Questions to be answered! ;)

1. What do you do in real life? or Tell us a few words about yourself!

2. How and when did you first discover Kerkythea? (copied from Blender)

3. How do you find architecture evolving in the future?
What's the relation between architecture & rendering?

4. How can lighting simulation help architecture?

5. What are your most used materials? (both in arch & renders,
i am sure that many architects here would like to know about
your arch technotropy).

6. How do you see the evolution of Kerkythea & SketchUp exporter?

7. What's your best movie? best dish? hobbies?

Ok here is my bad...,

1. What do you do in real life? or Tell us a few words about yourself!
I work as a manager in the computer and videogames industry beeing responsible for development of the software.
Aside from my slightly time consuming job I do compose music for ad's and small series, and sometimes when I am lucky for fun. I play a lot of games and enjoy DVD's at home.

2. How and when did you first discover Kerkythea? (copied from Blender)
Due to a mail from a friend I was looking for a proper render at that time....

3. How do you find architecture evolving in the future?
What's the relation between architecture & rendering?
Due some friends are architects I can say that it intertwined a lot, they try more in a 3D package out and are able to display it quicker to a customer in a format he easliy understands... proper 3D renders.

4. How can lighting simulation help architecture?
One of the most vital parts of presentations is the lighting, you can create moods as well, very realistic appearance of your object under real lighting conditions win your customer twice as quick (HDRI and Skylight Sun).

5. What are your most used materials? (both in arch & renders,
i am sure that many architects here would like to know about
your arch technotropy).
Metal and fabrics, platsic and leathers crawl up second.

6. How do you see the evolution of Kerkythea & SketchUp exporter?
It is a very potent combination and delivers an architect a quick solution for his presentation with a professional output and being able to change materials in no time while the customer watches it... unbeatable.

7. What's your best movie? best dish? hobbies?
Best Movie: The Big Lebowsky , I just love the dude
Best Dish: Turkey with Bananas
Hobbies: Music, Modelling, Movies and .... booooooks
