KT Wiki now integrated with Website!!! Woo Hoo!!!

http://www.kerkythea.net/joomla/index.p ... &Itemid=75

thanks Didelco and Giannis for integrating the Wiki with the Website.

is there an easy way we can transfer the old wiki into the new wiki? (I don't fancy copy-pasting all that info into the new one myself...)

but the open Wiki is already looking like it belongs to us, instead of the other one. thank you!

Please, KT Team, help us fill out this Wiki... I know Kim, for example, does all these little great tutorials for folks here and at the SU forum, it would be handy just to link to the tutorial if it were already in the Wiki, right?!

Here's the announcement I'm preparing, but I'd appreciate if you could transer at least the major headings, if possible, for people to see if they visit it.
Also, please test to see how editing the new wiki works for you.
Also, see if you can somehow implement graphics into it? (I'm afraid of the answer to this - it looks like it's in 'joomla'... so my expectations are low... but at least it's finally integrated into the site :roll: :!: )
New WIKI for Kerkythea now integrated into Kerkythea.net website.
Thanks to Didelco and Giannis for implementing this.

The WIKI is intended to have the whole community 'fish out' the helpful information for Kerkythea users and put it in the WIKI for all to use.

Manandmouse and I, as well as the KT team will try to keep things organized, but it's up to us all to make the Wiki as powerful as it wants to be.

(Imagine simply giving a link to answer someone question instead of typing out the same tutorial over and over, or finding and pasting it in from your personal stash on your desktop somewhere) :)
Thnx Shane.
-I did some editing to reflect the original start page: Easy.
-Had a look at the syntax: Informative. Adding images is possible (but remote linked)
-Sofar I did not discover a way to create new pages: Makes sense.
So didelco must create them to get the original structure available:
* GraphicalUserInterface
* FAQ
* Tutorials
* Tips'n'Tricks
* Downloads ?
* ChangeLog
And either intergrate them in the new startpage or communicate the links.
-Wishes, they will submerge gradually :)

Didelco,
Can you tell me more about how to add pages to the wiki, and manandmouse's questions in the above quote?

the only advantage to having it all on one really long page, is that it would be easy to print it for a personal hard-copy manual...

but having pages would indeed be preferable. muchas gracias didelco

Jose,
having the Wiki integrated with our site it cool.
but the Wiki format sucks! I mean it's nearly as bad as what it was meant to replace. Can you help organize it a bit so it's not so bad? Adding pages for the major topics and images would be good.

Thanks

I did a little work on it here tonight... tell me what you think.

there's one weird syntax error I can't figure out where the text is showing up beside the image link, instead of below it... don't know how to fix it.

Thanks.
